John A. Kruszewski, O.D.
Dr. Kruszewski is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and completed his undergraduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland Heights.
He graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1986. He began his career as a naval officer, serving as staff optometrist and contact lens clinic coordinator at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Dr. Kruszewski volunteers and provides eye care to the homeless at The Mildred Bayer Clinic. He is past President and an active member of The Sylvania Sunrise Lions Club. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association and is also past President of the Toledo Area Optometric Society. Dr. Kruszewski has two daughters and enjoys snow skiing, exercise and travelling.
Robert C. Layman, O.D.
Dr. Layman, a Toledo native, graduated from the University of Toledo and The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
He is the recipient of the 2006 AOA "Optometrist of the Year Award." The Ohio Optometric Association honored him with its Outstanding Senior Student award in 1982, its Young Optometrist of the Year award in 1987, and its Optometrist of the Year Award in 2005.
He is a past president of the Toledo Area Optometric Society, the Ohio Optometric Association, the Toledo Jaycees, and the Kiwanis Club of West Toledo. He is a vision consultant to the University of Toledo Athletic Department. Dr. Layman is married and has four children. He enjoys running, snowskiing, and motorsports.
Rebekah
Rebekah has been an optician since 2000 and is very enthusiastic about helping patients select fashionable eyewear. She and her husband enjoy traveling and to visit family in various parts of the country.
Jean
Jean has been an optician since 1996 and enjoys the challenges of the profession. In addition to helping our patients see and look their best, she loves to go boating, attend Jimmy Buffet concerts, traveling and spending time with her husband and sons Jack and Cooper.
Amy
Amy has been in the optical field since 1993 and enjoys the fashion aspect of helping patients define their new look in eyewear. She enjoys gardening, home improvement, and spending time with her two sons, daughter and husband.
Lisa
Lisa is our billing specialist. Since joining the Pinnacle Eye Group team in 2004, she has enjoyed the challenge of learning about the field of eyecare. She is married and has three children. She spends much of her time enjoying her children’s soccer games and loves to travel.
Jackie
Jackie is our Front Desk Team Leader. Jackie enjoys spending time with her son and watching him learn and grow and participate in various sports. She is an avid Ohio State football fan. She loves to travel, especially to Las Vegas and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Amy
Amy is our Administrative Team Leader. She has been helping our patients through the exam process since 2007 and has enjoyed learning about the optical field. Amy is married and has three adult children. She is the Grammy of her favorite little man, Isiah with whom she loves spending most of her free time. Amy also enjoys swimming, cooking, movies and Nascar.
David
David has over 30 years in the optical field. He enjoys giving patients the “WOW” factor when he helps them choose their frames and lenses. He has lived in the Toledo area all of his life and has a wife and one child.
DeAnne
DeAnne is an important part of our front desk team. She enjoys greeting our patients as the come in and is always striving to make sure your appointment runs smoothly. She is married and has two children and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, gardening and going to the beach.
Deborah
Deborah is a part of our front desk team. She greets and checks in patients and helps to keep things running smoothly. In her free time she enjoys traveling around the country to visit friends, running and watching Michigan football.
